Surrealism can be described as being unrealistic but when it meets realism it means it is an exaggeration but still referring to a real issue or describing a real issue. During this photoshoot we exaggerated these characters and borrowed many elements from the other looks to create something new and interesting.
Surrealism can be seen as unrealistic which these characters are as nobody in these communities we reference would present themselves like this but it is in the ethos of the VIGOUR design language that we consistently question ourselves how far can we push it? And sometimes that can come of as abstract Realism as something rooted in reality which the narratives we try and bring across are.
